Admission is subject to Rules & Regulations of the Society and on producing C.D.C only.
Admission to the society is open only to ratings. Officer cadre will not be offered
accommodation.
Cash Memo-cum-Admission Pass is not transferable. Any seaman who fails to cancel his Admission
Pass while checking out from the Home / Hostel is liable to be fined &/or debarred from the Hostel.
Admission passes/ proof of identity issued to seamen at the time of admission, must be
produced on demand from any Official or Security person of the Society. Anyone not producing the pass may
not be allowed entry.
At one time seaman is only allowed to stay maximum 60 days continuously and will be
Re-admitted only after a gap of ONE month.
Admission to seamen who have not stayed in the Society earlier can be done only during office
hours (0700 to 2300 hrs)
Refund Receipt /Slip must be handed over to the duty watchman while checking out from the Home
/ Hostel.
Seamen are not allowed to bring any outsiders to stay in the Home & Hostel. Any outsider
found staying with the connivance of any seaman or without taking Admission Pass will be fined Rs. 1500
& expelled from the Society. Any seamen who connive with above act will be debarred from the society.
Violence against staff or among residents is absolutely unacceptable. Persons indulging in
violent acts will be debarred from the society and liable to prosecution.
Anyone found Misusing/ Breaking/ Destroying Society’s property, will be penalized with
minimum fine of Rs 2000/- in addition to the restoration cost of the damages and he will be debarred from
the Society for a minimum period of 2 years.
Anyone found Misusing of Electricity & Water will be fined Rs.1000 & expelled from
the society.
Anyone found littering/spitting & throwing garbage/water from window/corridor will be
fined Rs. 200/- & Cooking inside Room will be fined Rs.500/-.
Gambling and bringing Alcoholic beverages /Liquor inside the premises of both the Home
/Hostel is strictly prohibited. Anyone found guilty of above will be fined and expelled from the Society.
The Society is a no smoking area. Anyone found smoking will be asked to leave the Society
Possession and use of drugs is strictly prohibited. Anyone found indulging in substance abuse
will be reported to the Police and debarred from the Society.
The Main gates of Home and Hostel will be closed at 10.30 pm and will be opened at 6.00am.
Seamen entering the premises after the closure of gates will have to show their photo Identity cards along
with Admission Pass to the Gate Security Personnel.
Anyone found suffering from any contagious diseases may not be admitted in the Home / Hostel.
No Money should be given to any Staff, Security personnel or Workers of the Society as gratis
or as loan.
Meetings / gatherings or holding of any religious ceremony/ function within the Society’s
premises without the prior permission of the Management of the Society is not permitted.
All Seamen are to strictly abide by the Orders/instructions given to them by the Society
Administration in maintaining Law & Order and Cleanliness in the Home /Hostel.
Society reserves the right to give or to refuse admission to any of the arriving seamen in
the Home/ Hostel and to expel any resident seamen who violates the Society Rules as amended from time to
time at the sole discretion of the Society Administration.
